Here are a couple of pics from the Seemantham. It was quite involved (a few hours) and required my active participation so I did not manage to take very many.

My wife and I sat in front of these items. The priest sat to our left.

In the ritual of Valaikappu, female relatives place glass bangles on the mother to be’s arms. They say the baby can hear the jingling of the bangles in the womb and it is like a lullaby.
The in-laws had an excellent South Indian restaurant cater the event. There was a ton of food including vada, sambar, aloo gobi, chapathi, all the South Indian vegie standards.
