Shabbat Shalom

A lot of things happening here in Brooklyn. School started last week and I’ve been busy teaching classes. I also managed to get an article published in an academic text. These things take forever so when the book finally arrived in the mail it was quite an accomplishment.

Charles Lipton, professor of International Politics at the University of Chicago added me to his blogroll.

Bob from Brockley has a post on the state of the left by guest blogger Jogo. Have a look.

Welcome to readers coming from Contentions and Michael Yon Online. Contentions is Commentary magazine’s blog and Michael Yon is a former Green Beret who provides some of the best frontline reports from Iraq. If you haven’t checked out his blog, you should.

I’m batting two for two in the wingnut and moonbat department. First, my recent post on Paul and the Paulistas brought out the right-libertarian wingnuts from They took special umbrage at my nerve to denigrate their hero as a first-rate charlatan and third-tier politician. So sorry.

Then, my Labor Day post upset the sensitive left-libertarian moonbats at Indymedia. “Neocon scab! Why don’t you drop some cluster bombs on Lebanon, grrrrrr…”

My apologies for rattling your cages. Actually, you made my week. Glad to know one individual can have such an impact.

Shabbat shalom.
